Type I – Very Fair Skin

•  Never gets tan

•  Very sensitive to sun

Type II – Fair Skin

•  Light skin

•  Burns easily in the sun

•  Tans only a little


Type III – Medium Skin

•  Medium wheatish skin (common in India)

•  Sometimes burns

•  Tans slowly

Type IV – Olive Skin

•  Indian brown skin (common skin tone in India)

•  Rarely burns

Type V – Brown Skin
